Writers in the Round

The “Writers Round” is a unique and intimate concert format in which multiple songwriters share the stage and take turns performing original songs. Unlike traditional live music events, a Writers Round emphasizes storytelling, collaboration, and the songwriting craft itself. Each songwriter will perform one song at a time in a “round”, accompanied by a brief introduction, sharing stories about how and why they wrote each song.

This format began in the 1960s and 70s when Nashville songwriters were looking for a way to test new material, connect with audiences and shine a spotlight on the voices behind the hit songs on the radio. They turned the age-old tradition of sitting in a cirlce together to share songs and stories, into a live event that has now become a staple in the music scene.
