Zoku Amsterdam Unveils New Rooftop Spaces for the Future of Work, Meet & Play

AMSTERDAM, 29 April: Zoku Amsterdam, the award-winning hybrid hospitality brand, today launches its fully renovated rooftop: a multifunctional space that seamlessly blends living, working, meeting, and socializing. Co-created with insights from over 4,000 guests and locals, and designed in collaboration with Amsterdam-based design firm Concrete, the new rooftop is a flexible and vibrant hub for the modern professional.

Designed to evolve throughout the day, Zoku’s updated rooftop includes coworking spaces, multiple terraces, creative event spaces, and a buzzing restaurant and bar. From brainstorming sessions to sunset drinks overlooking the city, every corner is built to foster connection, creativity, and comfort.

Key Highlights:

  • Event Spaces Reimagined: A light-filled 234m² Event Space for up to 175 people with retractable walls, whiteboard partitions, and interactive styling and board games. It now flexibly converts into two new “Think Big” and “Dream Bigger” rooms, perfect for workshops, keynotes, offsites, or pop-up dinners. 
  • Cowork by Day, Party by Night: A hybrid coworking space with phone booths and inspiring worktables by day, transformed into a cozy private “Party Pop-Up” venue for live music or social events for up to 50 people by night. 
  • Two New Rooftop Terraces: Lush with greenery and soft seating, the multiple rooftop terrace hidden gems offer peaceful escapes with panoramic city views, ideal for Amsterdam locals and travelers alike. Our Event Space Terrace can even be rented for up to 50 people for private events. 
  • The Living Kitchen: A Mediterranean-inspired restaurant serving 80% vegetarian dishes, with more flexible seating, cozy dining booths, and an intimate restaurant feel, also available for spontaneous coworking. 
 

“This isn’t just a renovation,  it’s a co-creation,” says Hans Meyer, Co-Founder of Zoku. “Every detail, from our terrace layout to our phone booths, was shaped by real feedback from our community.” 

Sustainability Built In

As a proud B Corp since 2018, Zoku committed to a minimal-waste approach. Instead of starting from scratch, the renovation focused on reupholstering sofas, reusing tables, and upcycling materials across the space. 

“Design should do more than look good, it should do good,” adds Marc Jongerius, Co-Founder. “That’s why sustainability is embedded in every decision we make.”
