The Reservations and Communications intern is the first and central point of contact for many of our guests. This position is responsible for coordinating anything to do with the hotel’s reservations and communication for our Amsterdam location – but also for our other (future) properties; from processing bookings, managing all enquiries (including groups), monitoring and controlling our online channels, contact and connect with future guests and companies via email and assist any in-house guest with their concerns and queries. The objective of this position is to ensure Zoku attracts inspired and inspiring travelling professionals, for the right rate.

You will be working alongside a team of commercial rockstars – closely together with the Reservations & Communications and Meeting & Events coordinators. You will be reporting to Zoku’s Communication and Reservations Manager & Commercial Director.

We will be opening our second location in Vienna, Austria, in Q3 2020 and our third location in Copenhagen, Denmark, in Q4 2020.

WHAT WILL YOU DO?

  • Be the first point of contact by phone, email and social media and manage communications for Zoku’s internal and external guests; so polish up your charming phone voice
  • Assist in offering personalised solutions to guests
  • Support our Reservations and Communications Coordinator with following up on group leads, arranging offers and organizing corporate reservations
  • Explore new ideas and solutions to improve services and packages, especially focusing on increasing communication efficiency and monitoring new trends in the hotel market
  • Connect and maintain communication with our Commercial Director and external Revenue Manager regarding group requests and reservations
  • Manage our PMS system and ensure that all guest and system information is correct and up to date
  • Book and manage Zoku Lofts for tours
  • Report and work closely with our Reservations and Communications Coordinator and Commercial Director

  • You are a student looking for a life altering experience as an intern. You can be studying at either MBO+, HBO/university or master degree level in the fields of Hospitality or Communication
  • You are fluent in both written and spoken English, other languages would be a plus
  • You are a European Union resident or you have a valid working and living permit for The Netherlands
  • You are flexible, as you’ll have no fixed working days/hours
  • You love to work, as we will need you full time.
  • Internship allowance of € 500 per month
  • Full time (40 hours) internship placement at one of the 25 coolest hotels in the world
