As the Meeting & Events Sidekick you are organizing and executing all Meeting & Events taking place at ZokuYou are responsible for coordinating everything to make sure we create unforgettable events. You’ll be taking care of the smooth running of all the operations, any audio-visual aidssolving any problems on the spotand managing the food and beverage orders together with the Kitchen team and the Duty Managers. The Meeting & Events Sidekick works closely together with the team of Sidekicks and reports to the Duty Manager on shift. 

We will be opening our third location in Vienna, Austria, in, Q2 2021. Located in the central Second District of Leopoldstadt, Zoku Vienna will be close to the Vienna University of Economics and Business, the Messe Wien Conference Center, and the iconic Prater park.

WHAT WILL YOU DO?

  • Run the operations of all Meeting & Events individually and, when applicable with a team on shift
  • Be the go-to person for all Meeting & Events groups and the main contact point for all M&E guests 
  • Showing off your barista, beer tapping and other cool skills by serving the residents/guests
  • Create an extensive and detailed operational planning to make sure everything runs smoothly 
  • Arrange and coordinate necessary services for events if and when applicable (catering, technical installations, parking possibilities, decoration…) 
  • Attend weekly Meeting & Events sheet meetings with the Kitchen team  
  • Monitor food quality and presentation of Meeting & Events related food & beverages

WE LOVE PEOPLE WHO... MUST HAVES WHAT'S IN IT FOR YOU?
  • Have a passion for food and beverage  
  • Are creative problem solvers 
  • Love people and to connect them to each other 
  • Have a genuine interest in organizing interesting events with cool content that focuses on the new economy, technology, design, knowledge sharing etc 
  • Have experience in banqueting operations, catering management and food and beverage management 
  • Are stress resistant and not afraid to get their hands dirty 
  • Are result driven and flexible 
  • You have a min. of 1 year experience in a similar role 
  • You have a Bachelor degree, preferably education in Hospitality/Event Management 
  • You are fluent in English, German and/or other languages are a plus 
  • You are an EU resident or have a valid working and living permit for Austria 
  • You are fully flexible/no fixed working days/hours 
  • You love to work, as we need you full time 
  • A market conform salary of 1.750 € gross per month based on full-time

1. First Round – Online Interviews

If we loved your application, we will invite you to a first virtual interview via Zoom which will take place between 25th January and 5th February, 2021 (concrete dates and time slots will follow). So, please check if you’re e-mail inbox for an invitation (we wouldn’t want to miss you!)

2. Second Round – Personal Interviews 

If we enjoyed the first interview with you and think that you would be a great fit for Zoku, a second one in person will follow. This interview will take place between 8th February and 19th February. The concrete location, date and time slots will be sent to you via e-mail again.

3. Working at Zoku

Will you join the team? How exciting, we can’t wait! We are planning for you to start working at Zoku mid-March, depending on our final opening date. We are planning to open Zoku’s doors in April 2021 – fingers crossed.
