The Commercial Director is responsible for all commercial activities for Zoku Amsterdam and all our pipeline properties such as Vienna and Copenhagen which are set to open autumn 2020. The tasks of the Commercial Director include managing and liaising with Sales, Revenue Management (outsourced), Reservations & Communications, (Online) Marketing and the Online Distribution of Zoku’s Rooms and Meeting & Events spaces.

The Commercial Director ensures that a strong strategy is in place to reach revenue targets for both Rooms and Meeting & Events alongside managing our awesome local sales team who are focused on closing corporate contracts with local and global companies. In terms of Marketing, you will warrant a strong SEO and Social Media strategy to ensure Zoku is top of mind with all residents and stakeholders.
For the Online distribution and Revenue management, you will work closely together with Zoku’s 3rd party Revenue Management team and Online Agency.
The Commercial Director reports to the Head of Operations, based in Amsterdam.

  • Create annual revenue budgets for all properties for both Rooms and Meeting & Events
  • Be responsible for achieving and optimizing revenue targets across all properties
  • Have weekly calls with the outsourced Revenue Manager to monitor the results, forecasts and implement changes when necessary


  • Manage the sales team across all properties to guarantee corporate production and the closing of new global and local corporate contracts
  • Make certain that Zoku’s unique sales strategy and booker experience is constantly being followed and improved
  • Effectively manage the centralized Reservations Team of Zoku, which is based in Amsterdam, ascertaining that communication standards are being kept, that upselling is being done and corporate relations have the best experience possible


  • Ensure that Zoku is top of mind with all current and past residents, members, partners and other stakeholders
  • Determine that all marketing content remains up-to-date and current
  • Promote Zoku’s brand via Social Media channels, endorsing that the content is in line with brand image
  • Accountable for innovative spreading of Zoku’s content
  • Be in contact with our outsourced online marketing agency on a weekly basis to optimize SEO, SEA and enhance the website results

Online Distribution

  • Establish that Zoku’s website is always current
  • Verify that all external channels such as OTA’s, Review Websites and GDS’s are up-to-date in terms of content and pricing

  • You have minimum 3 years of experience in a similar function in the hospitality industry
  • You are an EU resident or have a valid working and residence permit
