The General Manager is responsible for the smooth and efficient running of Zoku’s operations, which is build first and foremost on human interactions and focused on guests and employee engagement. You will drive and enhance Zoku’s unique value proposition, implementing and improving smart and lean processes, all whilst helping to implement a culture that is truly focused on service excellence. You will lead by example, proactively coach and mentor Leads (management) and Sidekicks (operational team) and ensure consistency.
The General Manager reports to the Operations Director based in the Home Office in Amsterdam.

No day looks the same as a General Manager… but here’s a glimpse of what you can expect:
You manage and coach the Operational team by creating an environment where people can thrive and develop themselves, encouraging maximum performance. You communicate effectively and frequently with other departments to ensure efficiency of operations, and high standards are met. You are a Zoku ambassador, both internally and externally, by living and breathing the company values and supporting our thriving community.
You own your P&L, by preparing and controlling it to ensure the set budget is achieved (or even better exceeded!). You monitor the purchase/requests of all operations, the accounts receivable and the accounts payable and manage the hotel administration/financial administration.
You act as the linking pin by coordinating all outsourced services, such as housekeeping, night management and stewarding. Additionally, you ensure all contracts and supplies (purchasing) are organized and agreements with our partners and suppliers are negotiated and managed properly.
You ensure proper SOP implementation and execution for all operations, including continuous fine-tuning to ensure operational excellence and a motivated operational team. Additionally, you manage and oversee the maintenance and configuration of all systems and oversee the continuous development of these systems according to feedback from partners, residents and teams.
